Ausstellung vom 21. Februar - 26. April 2009 in der GAKDie Publikation dokumentiert die Ausstellung der Berliner Künstlerin Kathrin Sonntag (* 1981) in der GAK Gesellschaft für Aktuelle Kunst in Bremen und überträgt deren grundlegende Gedanken in Buchform. Kathrin Sonntag ist an dem Moment interessiert, an dem ein normalerweise durch und durch lesbarer Gegenstand aus sich heraus tritt. Sie ist dem Zauber auf der Spur, der sich noch im Alltäglichsten finden lässt. Wie schon die Präsentation zieht auch der Katalog gleichermaßen spielerische wie präzise Verbindungslinien zwischen den unterschiedlichen dargestellten Elementen und legt Verwandtschaften in Form, Farbe oder Inhalt auf eine Weise offen, die den verwendeten Objekten und Wandarbeiten überraschende Qualitäten zugesteht. Ein fiktives Gespräch zwischen Mary Poppins (der Titelgeberin von Ausstellung und Buch) und Grant H. Atkinson (einem Anagramm von Kathrin Sonntag) führt darüber hinaus in den Ansatz von Präsentation und Publikation ein.

The publication documents the exhibition of Berlin artist Kathrin Sonntag (* 1981) at GAK Gesellschaft für Aktuelle Kunst in Bremen whose basic thoughts are transferred into book form. Kathrin Sonntag is interested in the moment a usually thoroughly recognisable object steps out of itself. She is on to the magic that is to be found even in the most ordinary everyday life.
Just as the presentation the catalogue establishes connections that are equally playful and precise between the various represented elements and reveals relations in shape, colour or content in a way that concedes surprising qualities to the used objects and mural works. Furthermore a fictional conversation between Mary Poppins (to whom refers the title of the exhibition and the book) and Grant H. Atkinson (an anagram of Kathrin Sonntag) introduces the approach of presentation and publication.
